If there’s one place in Canada I would recommend you to visit, it would be Lake Louise, in Alberta. The lake is simply a reflection of natural beauty. I was here a few years ago and had to go back for a few more times. There’s nothing like it. It was love at first sight and it left me speechless with its glistening emerald or turquoise lake and soaring mountain peaks – it’s simply breathtaking.
There I was sitting on a bench, surrounded by the amazing view of the lake and rockies that makes you just feel so small because this beauty right before my eyes is just too big, just too beautiful to describe. I sat there taking it all in, the air, the view, the sound, the temperature, the people, the nature. And wow, it was one of the most peaceful, beautiful spot to be in.
Lake Louise gets millions of outdoor enthusiasts every year. While it’s widely famous for skiing in winter, spring and summer activities include hiking, biking, canoeing, or kayaking. Whatever you choose to do, it will surely be a lifetime of adventure – the kind that you’ll never forget. I always enjoy some hiking or scenic strolls in the area. It could get a little chilly especially in spring, so I would recommend packing up some layers.

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a luxury hotel that’s located just right by the lake itself. Literally speaking, Fairmont Chateau’s backyard is Lake Louise, and there’s no other better place to stay than in this hotel. During my first time at Fairmont Chateau, I opted in for their Jr Suite Lakeview, with sitting area for the spectacular lake views. I am not going to say how much that was, but surely was worth every penny, at least for me. The room was spacious and luxurious. Friendly staff, a few restaurants and gift shops inside the property. And imagine waking up every morning with beautiful lake views. I wake up every morning mesmerized by it all. A few famous celebrities stay at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to enjoy the summer activities by the lake.

I normally hate being in a place with big crowds. But when you’re in Lake Louise, you don’t really get that feeling of being smothered by too many tourists. In fact, you do enjoy seeing people around.
Everything about it makes it one of my favorite places on Earth. Even the drive to Calgary airport was worth every second of it. You’re surrounded with the most scenic views of the Canadian rockies.
